Bioenergy Roadmap Program - Grants and Funding

Print

To ensure that hotspot regions are best equipped to develop the bioenergy potential for the area, RenewablesSA and the Low Carbon Economy Unit have developed the Bioenergy Roadmap Program.

The first component, Bioenergy Planner, will utilise existing Government resources from Green Industries SA, RenewablesSA and PIRSA  to provide a first point of contact and facilitation.

The second component, Bioenergy Connect, a $50,000 program, will be administered out of the Regional Development Australia, Limestone Coast Region. Upon successful application, companies will have the use of a bioenergy mentor to guide them through the conceptual stage of developing a project. Successful applicants will have a specific allocation of funded time to establish the energy use, potential available biomass, and relevant technology that could benefit the configuration of the business.

The third component, the Bioenergy Feasibility Fund, is a $100,000 matched grant program. This Fund is available for all regions of South Australia upon successful application over two years beginning 2016/17, or until the funds are expended, and will complement the Bioenergy Connect Program. It will contribute funds towards the feasibility assessment of bioenergy projects on a matched basis.
