Stage 1 - Mapping of Potential

Stage 1 of the bio-energy roadmap is an interactive map which:

1. describes commercially available conversion technologies such as

a. digestors to produce gas;

b. combustion technologies to burn biomass; and

c. Gasification technologies to produce synthetic fuels

 2. analyses the state for potential feedstocks that could input into these technologies;

 3. analyses the state for heat and electricity demand and matches this back to feedstock supply; and

 4. addresses transport logistics

This project has significantly increased information about the potential location and use of bio-energy generation in the state.
